As a journalist, I've traveled the world and always viewed it as an adventure. Even when I was covering news stories, I tried to make a little time to see and enjoy the countries I visited. Later, as a food and wine writer, I lived in the Napa Valley, but traveled to other wine regions -- from Fredricksburg, Texas, to the Loire Valley in France.  For me,  travel is about learning, but I don't sacrifice enjoyment or relaxation. And neither should you.
